The guest of Radar Armenia's "Radar Chat" program is Suren Surenyants, the chairman of the "Democratic Alternative" party. He referred to the Armenian-Russian relations, the possibility of concluding a peace treaty by the end of the year, the rivalry between the Russian Federation and the West, and the influence of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the region and, especially, on Armenia.

According to him, the geopolitical importance of Armenia is due to Syunik. "Armenian-Russian relations are in an institutional crisis. They are the most critical in the history of the third republic. The Russian government has a good estimate that Armenia does not have the resources to go elsewhere. Russia has been conveying to us since 2012 that it can no longer be a guarantor of the pre-war status quo."

While talking about military cooperation, Surenyants notices that the way by which French weapons can reach Armenia is not visible. "As long as the issue of the Black Sea and Georgia is not resolved, there is no way to deliver French weapons to Armenia."

Regarding the possibility of signing a peace agreement by the end of the year, the party chairman first noted that the government of Azerbaijan considers that it still has something to gain. "It is not necessary to wait for Aliyev to run to sign a peace agreement. Azerbaijan is becoming a more important partner for the West and Israel. Karabakh was depopulated, the green light of which was lit with the agreement of Prague. The "Zangezur Corridor" topic is not closed. The West did not particularly care when Karabakh was being depopulated. The moderator of the peace process will become the controller of transport communication passing through Syunik. Armenia is a defeated country. I am very skeptical that Armenia will control transport communication alone."
