Radar Interview

"You cannot keep the country with Gurgen Nersisyan, Samvel Shahramanyan, or Artur Harutyunyan; it is excluded." Hayk Khanumyan (VIDEO)

Hayk Khanumyan, the former Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Nagorno-Karabakh, is the guest of the "Radar Conversation" program at the Radar Armenia booth. He referred to the decline of Nagorno-Karabakh and talked about the mistakes, the culprits that led to this situation, and the politics that have been going on in Nagorno-Karabakh for years.

According to him, communication with officials of the 5th Department of the Russian Federal Security Service is not communication with the Russian state. "There was no normal analysis of the situation. This is the whole tragedy. We had a high-ranking official in Artsakh who compared himself to Monte and lived on myths. The need to change the state minister was ripe. Artak Beglaryan could not do anything. Especially in the case of Ruben Vardanyan, it was not right to appoint a minister of state with great powers. People had personal fears, and most preferred the complex to the state," said Hayk Khanumyan, noting that Azerbaijan touched on different scenarios: resolving the issue by negotiations or by military means, "The stupidity factor worked. How can there be logic when people develop an operation and, as a result, end up in Baku? We had several chances that we lost at different stages. Russia's role in Artsakh is exaggerated; its reputation was constantly falling. During the blockade, Gurgen Nersisyan worsened the situation with his criminal inaction. You cannot keep the country with Gurgen Nersisyan, Samvel Shahramanyan, or Artur Harutyunyan. is excluded."

Touching on the enthusiasm of the former presidents of Armenia regarding the change of power in Nagorno-Karabakh, Khanumyan said that, unlike Serzh Sargsyan, Robert Kocharyan had no profound influence on the elite of Artsakh: "Serzh Sargsyan has a big share of guilt in this tragedy."
