Arayik Harutyunyan and Vitaly Balasanyan were the first to go through the alternative route. "Hraparak"

"Hraparak" newspaper writes: "The Lachin road connecting Artsakh to Armenia is not working since yesterday. There will be an alternative temporary road of 4.7 kilometers, which will serve in the coming months. And the main road will be ready next spring. Now the road connecting Armenia to Artsakh through the territory of Berdzor has started to operate. The first passengers who passed this way yesterday were the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, and the Secretary of the National Security Council, Vitali Balasanyan.

They left Stepanakert around 18:00, reached Tegh village of Goris region by this road, then turned back to ensure that the road was safe and suitable for operation. From 8:00 p.m., other residents of Artsakh can travel on this road. Russian peacekeepers monitor the smooth process of the temporary road."
