The spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, said that resolving conflicts in the Caucasus region does not need trans-regional intervention but should be based on the cooperation of the region's countries.

Referring to the recent statements of the, President of Azerbaijan regarding Iran's support to Armenia, Kanaani said that "Iran once again declares its readiness to support the solution of existing problems between its northern neighbors in bilateral, trilateral and six-party regional frameworks."
