English clubs have set a new record for winter transfer spending

During the winter transfer window, English clubs broke the record for transfer expenses.

According to the Deloitte audit company's research, Premier League clubs spent 440 million pounds on transfers in the winter. The previous record figure was set in 2018 when English clubs spent 430 million pounds in January.

"Chelsea" spent the most this winter. The new transfers cost the club about 180 million pounds. During this transfer window, the "blues" bought Mikhail Mudrik, Benoit Badiashile, Noni Madueke, Andrey Santos, and David Fofana and loaned Joao Felix.
