Radar Interview

"For now, a red light is lit in front of Aliyev for a new escalation." Artashes Khalatyan (VIDEO)

The guest of Radar Armenia's "Radar conversation" program is jurist Artashes Khalatyan.

He referred to the reliability of the peace agenda in the face of Aliyev's belligerent rhetoric, talked about the upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan, the passive policy of the West (in particular, the United States) in the region, as well as the correct positioning of Armenia in the current situation.

According to Khalatyan, the peace agenda allows to provide a background for negotiations. "Aliyev is a calculated politician. For now, a red light has been lit for Aliyev for a new escalation. In June-July, the officials of the White House will be unavailable, and Putin's re-election has a ceremonial nature. Azerbaijan is oriented towards its patrons in its behavior. This year, US diplomatic activity will weaken. Armenia's foreign policy is not American-centric. For Aliyev, Armenia should raise the price of war with him."
