Human rights defender Kristinne Grigoryan visited Nerkin Hand

On October 14, the Human Rights Defender visited the Syunik Region Nerkin Hand community, which was in the most challenging security situation due to the Azerbaijani attack on Armenia on September 13.


The defender was interested in ensuring the safety of the community's residents, using vital infrastructures and communication channels, violations of the and residents' property rights.


The defender recorded that as a result of the aggressive and continuous encroachment of the Azerbaijani armed forces on the sovereign territory of Armenia, a more complex situation has been created for the residents of the community, especially women and children, for the realization of psychological and physical integrity, average life support, the right to property and education and other fundamental rights.


Kristine Grigoryan informed the residents that the findings of the fact-finding mission would be presented to the international community. Specific recommendations will be sent to the government to solve the recorded problems.
The defender was accompanied by the Deputy Governor of Syunik, Nare Ghazaryan.
