Scientists of the Research Center for Comprehensive Arctic Studies of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and St. Petersburg State University have discovered a new genus and species of sponges in the Russian Arctic regions.
The relevant bodies proposed to include the new species in the Red Book of Russia. The results of the research were published in the journal Scientific Reports.
