Tombstones and relics with Armenian inscriptions found in Tbilisi will be moved to Khojivank Pantheon.

Ambassador of Armenia to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan, Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Thea Tsulukiani, and leader of the Armenian Diocese of Armenia Gracious Father Kirakos Davtyan visited the area adjacent to the building of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia, where marble tombstones with Armenian inscriptions and human remains were found during the construction works.

As reported by the RA Embassy in Georgia, the found tombstones and relics will be moved to the "Khojivank" pantheon of Armenian writers and public figures in Tbilisi.

The RA ambassador thanked the authorities of Georgia for the care they showed, highly appreciating the attitude of the Georgian people towards civilized and Christian universal values. The cemetery of the Armenian Monastery of Tbilisi, which was destroyed during the Soviet years, was located in this area.
