The USA and Ukraine presidents, Joe Biden and Vladimir Zelensky, had a telephone conversation.
Biden promised to sign the bill financing aid to Ukraine, which was approved by the House of Representatives and will be presented to the Senate.
According to Zelensky, they discussed the first package of defense aid, which will be provided to Ukraine after the law is adopted.
The White House said that the US would quickly provide "significant" new aid packages after the legislation takes effect.
