Germany exports $3.8 billion worth of arms to Ukraine in the first quarter

The German Ministry of Finance website wrote that in the first quarter, the German government authorized the export of arms worth 5.2 billion euros, 74% of which goes to Ukraine.

According to the data, arms exports from Germany increased more than twice (2.4 billion euros) compared to the same period in 2023. Aid to Ukraine increased to 3.8 billion euros during the reporting period, compared to 497 million euros in the first quarter of 2023. Germany is the second-largest supplier of weapons to Ukraine after the USA. Germany has provided Kyiv with commitments for military support or future expenses of about 28 billion euros.
