Argentina has applied to NATO to become a global partner. The country's Minister of Defense, Louis Petri, announced this.
"I have submitted a letter to [NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana] expressing Argentina's request to become a global partner of this organization," wrote Petri X (formerly Twitter) on his page.
According to him, they will continue to work to restore ties that will allow them to modernize their forces to NATO standards.
