Peter Stano, the press secretary of Josep Borrell, the head of the EU diplomatic service, announced that the informal meeting of the EU foreign ministers on Iran would take place on April 16 at 18:00 in a video conference format.
According to him, not all EU countries will be represented at the ministerial level. "The topic of this meeting is only one: What should be the next steps of the EU in this new situation (the Iran-Israel conflict)? We must be ready for it. As for the proposal of new sanctions, that is the business of the member states. We are not preparing new steps yet," Stano added.
