"Brussels is trying to push Russia out of the South Caucasus." Zakharova
The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, answering the question of NEWS.ru, said that the EU is trying to strengthen its influence and push Russia out of the South Caucasus. According to her, this issue is regularly discussed during contact with Azerbaijani and Armenian colleagues.
"We are aware of the desire of Brussels to get involved in the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan by any means. It's just to push Russia out of the region. That is their dream. Let's not predict the development of events; there are diametrically opposite views on strengthening the extra-regional factor in the South Caucasus, including among the South Caucasian countries. This topic is regularly discussed in our contacts with Baku and Yerevan," said Zakharova.
