American billionaire Elon Musk has admitted that his brain-chipping company Neuralink will start human trials in six months. "Reuters" agency informed about it.
Musk noted that the company has already sent the necessary documents for such studies to the US regulatory authorities. Based in San Francisco and Austin, Neuralink has been conducting tests on animals in recent years as it requires regulations from the US regulator, the Food and Drug Administration.
“We want to be very careful and make sure the device will work well before we introduce it into a person. ... Probably in about six months, we will be able to implant Neuralink in a person," Musk said during the presentation.
The first two human applications for the Neuralink device will be to restore vision and muscle movement to people who cannot.
