China calls on Israel and Turkey to stop attacks on Syria

RIA Novosti reports that Gen Shuang, the deputy representative of China at the United Nations, stated that China called on Turkey and Israel to stop attacks on Syria immediately.

"We must strictly protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria. The security situation in Syria remains unstable. Turkey launched airstrikes against Syria and announced that it would carry out a ground operation. Israel's airstrikes also continued against Syria," Geng Shuang said.

According to him, all these actions grossly violate Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity and may lead to the escalation and spread of the Syrian conflict.

"China expresses its deep concern. We call on Turkey and Israel to immediately stop the attacks, avoid any actions that could escalate the situation, and continue the dialogue to resolve the relevant issues," he emphasized.
