Tehran will respond to EU proposals on the nuclear deal by midnight.

Tehran will give a written answer to Enrique More, the coordinator of negotiations on the Iran nuclear deal from the EU, regarding the proposals of the European side by midnight (22:30 Yerevan time). Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahiyan announced this.

"Today at midnight, we will give a final written answer to the EU coordinator," his words were quoted by the Tasmin agency. According to the minister, "if the reaction of the USA is realistic and flexible, then an agreement will be reached. Otherwise, negotiations should still be held."

Abdolalahyan also noted that "in the recent negotiations in Vienna, the American side verbally announced its willingness to show flexibility on both issues, but written [guarantees] should follow."

On August 11, The Wall Street Journal reported that EU diplomats drafted the document's final text on restoring the nuclear deal with Iran. According to that information, the EU offered Tehran concessions regarding the investigation of the atomic material found by the IAEA, the origin of which was not clarified by the Iranian side. The newspaper notes that Brussels' proposal is a step toward Tehran, as this investigation is one of the critical issues for the Western side.
