The Syrian People's Assembly delegation visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial

On April 24, the delegation led by the Deputy Speaker of the Syrian People's Assembly, Akram al-Ajlani, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial. They were accompanied by RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Syria Tigran Gevorgyan and Syria's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Nora Arisyan. The head of the Syria-Armenia friendship group of the Syrian People's Assembly, Lucy Esgenyan, was also part of the delegation.

The director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, Edita Gzoyan, greeted the guests and escorted them to the memorial complex. Akram al-Ajlani laid a wreath at the monument commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Then, the delegation members from Syria placed flowers near the eternal flame. They observed a minute of silence in memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.

The guests also toured the Armenian Genocide Museum, where they got acquainted with the permanent and temporary exhibitions, accompanied by the senior tour guide of AGMi, Angel Tevekelyan, after which the members of the delegation made notes in the memorial book of honored guests.
