The ambassador was accompanied by employees of the EU delegation in Armenia responsible for cooperation and political issues. The acting chairman of the UN Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the representative of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Armenia, the expert of the AOSA (A, Armenian On-Site Assistance) program, and the management of the ANPP were also present at the meeting.

It was quite a full and informative meeting. First, the Armenian side briefly presented the operation history and safety indicators of the ANPP. Then, in the square of the NPP, the expert of the European Union aid program presented to the guests the projects implemented and being implemented in the NPP with the support of the EU. The future plans and programs of the NPP were also discussed, highly appreciating the support provided by the EU to the NPP so far, and the need to continue that cooperation was emphasized. Since 1995, about 60 million US dollars have been provided to the NPP, which was aimed at increasing the reliability and safety of the plant.

At the end of the meeting, the members of the delegation made a tour of some production areas of the ANPP, where they were shown especially the equipment and systems that were implemented within the framework of the EU aid.

The Ambassador thanked the leaders of the NPP for the organized visit and warm reception and assured that all efforts will be made to ensure stable cooperation and support in the future.
