The senior advisor of the US Security and Cooperation Commission in Europe was hosted at the National Assembly
On February 3, MPs of the NA "Civil Pact" faction Sargis Khandanyan, Maria Karapetyan, Arusyak Julhakyan, and Sona Ghazaryan met with Michael Cecire, senior advisor of the US Security and Cooperation Commission in Europe (US Helsinki Committee).
Emphasizing the strengthening of democracy in Armenia and the establishment of peace in the region, the parties stressed their readiness to continue cooperation in this direction.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the prospects for developing Armenian-American friendly and partnership relations.
The MPs of the National Assembly drew the guest's attention to the humanitarian crisis and security problems created in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the illegal blocking of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan.
Reference was also made to the process of regulating Armenia-Turkey relations. The issue of normalization of bilateral relations and the readiness of the Armenian side to continue efforts in this direction were highlighted.
