The Minister of Energy of Lithuania presented the Lithuanian experience of transitioning to a self-sufficient energy system

The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia, Gnel Sanosyan, met with the Minister of Energy of Lithuania, Dainius Kraivis, in Vilnius.

Ara Margaryan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Lithuania, also participated in the meeting. Minister Sanosyan thanked for the invitation and emphasized the deepening of friendly relations between Armenia and Lithuania, which was also noted during the meeting of the two countries' prime ministers.

Issues regarding possible cooperation in the energy sector were discussed. The ministers of the two countries presented the energy systems of their countries.

The Minister of Energy of Lithuania, Dainius Kraevis, presented the Lithuanian experience in transitioning to a self-sufficient energy system and installing and operating energy storage plants under modern geopolitical challenges.

The discussion included problems and challenges related to renewable energy, energy saving, and issues related to the use of solar and wind energy.

An agreement was reached to cooperate on a professional, expert level in the near future to study the best of Lithuanian experience.
