RA NA Speaker highlighted the stable development of relations with Germany

The delegation headed by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, was received by the Prime Minister of the Saxony region of the GDR, Michael Kretschmer. The Speaker of the RA National Assembly noted that the stable development of friendly relations with Germany is important for Armenia.

"Having the relations between Armenia and the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt as an example, we are happy to note that the promotion and development of cooperation with different regions of Germany have already become a good tradition," he noted.

Alen Simonyan emphasized that the RA Government constantly improves the investment environment and creates unique conditions for prospective projects. The Speaker of the National Assembly, stressing that Germany is one of the technological leaders in the world, invited the Prime Minister to visit Armenia with a delegation of business people. They talked about the prospects of cooperation in several directions at the meeting.

The parties discussed issues related to the security of the region. Alen Simonyan presented the security problems facing Armenia and the Armenian-populated Nagorno-Karabakh.

"The war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh, threats to the sovereign territory of Armenia, the reality of Armenian prisoners of war, the humanitarian crisis caused by the closure of the Lachine Corridor, the circumvention of the decision of the Court of Justice against Azerbaijan call into question the future of the democratic state in this world," said the Speaker of the National Assembly, adding, that he expects support from German partners for Armenia to prove that the democratic state is protected.
