"If any mission does not know what the RA territory is, how will it observe whether it is occupied or not?" Pashinyan (VIDEO)

"Our CSTO partners noted that the proposal to send an observation mission remains in force, for which we are grateful." RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the NA-Government question-and-answer session.

According to him, Armenia has expressed its position: the CSTO has documents with very detailed descriptions, including the regulation of response in crises, and the area of responsibility of the CSTO is also defined. "We asked the CSTO for an important and moral thing: to specify the area of responsibility of the CSTO in RA, that is, to tell us their idea of what RA is. We are still waiting to receive a clear answer to this question. On the other hand, the mission of the EU civil mission became possible because, as a result of the quadrilateral meeting in Prague, the EU clearly outlined, including with the participation and agreement of RA and Azerbaijan, what RA is. In other words, they said: "This is the map of Armenia in our opinion," or we said it, they took it into account and confirmed it, and they are coming to monitor and observe that area. Without that mission and understanding of the area, an observation mission would be strange, to say the least."

According to Pashinyan, if any mission needs to know what RA is and its territory, how will it observe whether that territory is occupied? According to him, Azerbaijan tried to represent Armenia in the West as a participant in Russia's aggressive policy and Russia as a participant in the Western conspiracy.

Pashinyan assured that there is no geopolitical context related to the visit of EU observers, "There is a specific agenda; there is a specific issue we are trying to solve."
