The President was present at the unveiling ceremony of Ohan Duryan's bust.

The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, was present at the opening ceremony of the bust of the outstanding musician and conductor Ohan Duryan. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Vahram Dumanyan, other officials, and public and cultural figures were also present at the solemn ceremony.

Vahan Vardapetyan, a doctor, public figure, and a close friend of Ohan Duryan gave the opening speech. "Each commemorative statue should be symbolic and placed in a symbolic place," said Vardapetyan. In his speech, he also presented how the decision to place the bust of Ohan Duryan in the area adjacent to the Opera House was made.

The opening of the bust of Ohan Duryan was reserved for Duryan's widow. She sent her words of thanks to the President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Vahan Vardapetyan, and the author of the bust, Getik Baghdasaryan.

Then Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a speech of welcome, explicitly stating, "It is indeed a very happy occasion, and I must say that I had the honor and joy to communicate with maestro Ohan Duryan almost equally inside and outside these walls; it is a disadvantage because the right balance would be to communicate with the maestro more inside these walls than outside these walls, in this square, and I have to admit that what I saw and heard gave me a lot of positive energy."

At the end of the event, the participants placed flowers in front of Ohan Duryan's bust.
