Yerevan Elections - 2023
In the absence of consensus, the "Mayr Armenia" alliance proposes new elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders
"Mayr Hayastan" alliance issued a statement, which, in particular, reads:
"Mayr Armenia" bloc, fully committed to its declared principles, namely to achieve a complete change of power and the formation of new national authorities, for which the elections of the Yerevan Council of Elders are considered as a starting step, for which it has received the invaluable trust of our fellow citizens, believes that no Consensus in the political field is the only condition under which it is possible to achieve the deprivation of the power of the "Political Treaty."
Taking into account the need to act honestly with our public in this regard, we call on the parties declared oppositional as a result of the elections to the Council of Elders to come up with unequivocal statements and resolutions that will not give rise to different interpretations and will provide an opportunity to prevent the reproduction of the existing government with joint efforts.
In the absence of consensus, holding new elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders by not appearing at the session and not securing a quorum will be the only solution to the current situation."
