Andranik Tevanyan, leader of the "Mayr Haystan" alliance, met with taxi drivers and discussed the alliance's proposals.
Contrary to the RA government's intention to introduce a new type of tax from September 1, 2024, which will increase the price of the taxi service, "Mayr Hayastan" proposes the following model: "Any business activity whose annual turnover will not exceed 30 million drams should be exempted from taxes, and in case of annual turnover up to 180 million drams, it should pay 1% yearly turnover tax. This proposal is planned for 10 years.
Andranik Tevanyan added that the specific taxi service license should include technical inspection, medical payment, and the possibility of cashless payment. With this, the turnover will be fixed, and it will become logical to exempt from taxes in case of turnover up to 30 million drams and in case of turnover up to 180 million drams, to charge 1 percent turnover tax.
As a current issue, taxi drivers singled out the tightening of the punishment in cases of other vehicles occupying taxi parking places. They endorsed the alliance's proposal to create a level playing field for all businesses.
Andranik Tevanyan also emphasized that all this will make sense and become a reality only in case of a complete change of power. He called to join "Mayr Haystan" and participate in the alliance's program of complete power change.
