Pressure on Russia must be maintained through sanctions imposed after it invaded Ukraine in 2022, European Council President Antonio Costa said at the opening of the Coalition of the Willing Summit in Paris.
“The best way to support Ukraine is to remain committed to our goal of achieving a just and sustainable peace. That means maintaining pressure on Russia through sanctions,” Costa wrote on his X page. About thirty countries allied with Ukraine are participating in the summit.
