High tariffs between the United States and Mexico have been suspended for a month. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced this on her X social network page after a conversation with US President Donald Trump.
The heads of state have reached several agreements. Thus, Mexico will immediately strengthen its northern border with 10,000 National Guard soldiers to prevent drug smuggling into the United States. At the same time, the United States is committed to working to stop the smuggling of large-scale weapons into Mexico.
