Internal political changes are expected in Turkey

Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is preparing for radical changes in domestic politics after losing local government elections on March 31. "Hürriyet" newspaper reports about it, noting that it will not be just a change, but a "change in the political paradigm" of AKP.

Along with the changes in the cabinet of ministers and the party, the reforms will affect the sphere of human rights, for the violation of which Turkey is constantly criticized in the European Union. The country has been seeking EU membership for almost 20 years.
