Georgia will receive 9.25 million euros in prize money for participating in Euro-2024, the European Football Union reported. UEFA allocates that amount for each country participating in the European Championship.
The Georgian football team reached the finals of the 2024 European Championship, defeating Greece 4:2 on penalties (central and extra time ended 0:0).
The Georgian team will now play in Group F. Its rivals will be the teams of Portugal, Turkey, and the Czech Republic. The tournament will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The prize fund for Euro-2024 reached a record 371 million euros.
