The prestigious American publication "Financial Times" reported that on Sunday, May 14, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will meet in Brussels. The meeting will be held at the initiative of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.
"The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, will host the meeting between the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, on Sunday," three officials familiar with the preparations told the Financial Times.
The Brussels meeting is an "important sign of progress," said one of the officials, speaking anonymously because the news is not yet public. He added that "the EU and the US efforts are mutually reinforcing and complementary."
