Ayhan Hajizadeh, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, referring to the blockade of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijani "activists" and responding to the calls of the USA, EU, and France, stated:
"During the last few days, the protest action carried out by the representatives of Azerbaijan's political society and environmental activists on the Shushi-Lachin road is the result of the righteous dissatisfaction of the Azerbaijani public. This position of civil society should be respected. The purpose of this protest is not to block any road, and civilian vehicles can move freely in any direction on the road.
As for the humanitarian situation in the region, we declare once again that the Azerbaijani side is ready to meet the humanitarian needs of the Armenian residents living in our territories," Hajizade said.
