The third round of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty negotiations may take place before the end of the year

On Monday, at a press conference held after the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Azeri Foreign Minister Jeihun Bayramov announced, "Azerbaijan has prepared and presented to Armenia a draft peace settlement agreement; the third round of negotiations between the republics can take place before the end of this year."

"Azerbaijan prepared a draft contract based on five fundamental principles and presented it to the Armenian side, after which two rounds of negotiations took place. I would also like to inform you that the Azerbaijani side has already submitted the third package of comments to the Armenian side. We believe it is possible to hold the third round of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the draft peace treaty," Bayramov stated.

"A peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan will be signed based on the Alma-Ata declaration," added Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
