Demarcation cannot be carried out without RF maps

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke about the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement process at a press conference dedicated to European security.

"Currently, the French, the Americans, and the EU are trying to compensate for the Minsk group they buried and got stuck in the mediation process. They are trying to take and privatize the agreements reached by the parties through the mediation of Russia. For example, a meeting of the demarcation commission is held in Brussels. Armenians and Azerbaijanis are decent people; they go there. But how can demarcation be discussed if they don't have maps, and the maps are in the General Directorate of the Russian Federation? The same is true in Prague. They signed a document according to which the distinction and peace agreement should be by the UN Charter and the Alma-Ata Declaration.

And the Alma-Ata declaration says that all union states form the CIS and confirm the inviolability of the borders with the borders of the USSR. At that time, the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region was part of Azerbaijan. This was confirmed between Macron and Michel, as well as between Armenia and Azerbaijan, according to the signed agreement. It makes things more accessible; it solves the question of how to approach the issue of the status of Nagorno-Karabakh. It is not for nothing that the RA leadership recently talks about rights, not quality. The Azerbaijani side is ready for this, is prepared to discuss it, to give guarantees to the Armenians of Karabakh regarding the rights that other citizens of Azerbaijan have. Everyone has forgotten the Minsk Group. The USA and France buried it."
