At the international conference "Along the Middle Corridor: geopolitics, security, and economy," the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, referred to the Turkic-speaking peoples living in Iran, considering them a part of Azerbaijanis and announced, "We will do everything to protect our way of life, the secular vector of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis, including Azerbaijanis living in Iran. They are a part of our nation."
