President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, talking to the leaders of the G20 countries, called for an end to the war waged by Russia against Ukraine.
In his video message, Zelensky said, "I am convinced that it's the time for the destructive Russian war should and can be stopped. It will save thousands of lives."
He appealed to US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping but made it clear that his appeal did not refer to Russia.
Zelensky added that the war should end "justly and based on the UN Charter and international law."
