Turkey will increase its military presence in Cyprus

Turkey will increase its military presence in Cyprus and supply the island's north with the necessary weapons to protect the interests of Turkish Cypriots. Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced this during a meeting with Pamukkale University students.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that Ankara will take all necessary steps to protect the interests of the Turkish community on the island. "Even if the whole world stands in our way, Turkey will not back down from its position and will protect its interests in Cyprus, the Aegean, and the Mediterranean," Cavusoglu said.

Cavusoglu criticized the position of the US authorities, which canceled the embargo on the arms supply to the Greek Cypriot community.
