On September 15, the regular session of the Turkey-US strategic-advisory mechanism was held in Washington. During the discussions, the Turkish delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Anal. On the American side, Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and State Department representative Victoria Nuland participated in the session.
The joint statement on the results of the third round of negotiations states that the parties confirmed close cooperation between the two NATO allies and exchanged views on bilateral relations, as well as strategic and global issues.
