The US intends to supply $1.1 billion worth of weapons to Taiwan

Against the background of the escalation of tensions in relations with China, the administration of US President Joe Biden plans to supply Taiwan with $1.1 billion worth of weapons. A bill to provide Taiwan with 60 anti-ship and 100 air-to-air missiles will be presented to Congress. This was reported by Politico newspaper, citing its sources.

According to the periodicals, emphasis will be placed on maintaining Taiwan's defense capability and fulfilling already signed agreements, not increasing military aid.
