Taiwan will allocate 1.6 billion dollars for the production of drones

Taiwan's government is providing $1.6 billion for a group of local private companies to develop and manufacture drones to counter security threats. This was reported by the Financial Times.

The main goal of this three-year project will be the production of drones for "special missions".

The companies will be engaged, in particular, in the creation of micro-unmanned aerial vehicles installed on sea vessels and reconnaissance drones. As expected, the first orders should reach the manufacturers by July 2023.
