"Hraparak" newspaper writes, "Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan wrote on his Facebook page yesterday that he offered Ruben Vardanyan to assume the position of Artsakh Republic's State Minister and is waiting for his decision on his proposal.
"I hope we will start our cooperation in the coming weeks, and I will inform you about other related details later."We learned that Araik Harutyunyan informed the audience during the extended session of the Security Council in Artsakh yesterday that he will make such a proposal tomorrow; he also said that the appointment might take place after a few weeks because Ruben Vardanyan informed him that he has some unfinished business related to the "Aurora" project.
However, our sources in Artsakh believe that Vardanyan's volition has other reasons. The point is that information is circulating in political circles that soon Azerbaijan may start a full-scale war against Armenia, with all possible consequences. Vardanyan's plans are not only related to Artsakh. In addition, the financial situation in Artsakh is so bleak that Vardanyan doubts whether he can get out from under that heavy burden or not.
Araik Harutyunyan confronted him with the facts. Acting State Minister Artak Beglaryan also made a note yesterday welcoming the offer made to Vardanyan. We were informed that the Artsakh government did not accept this change: R. Vardanyan will make radical changes here, and many people will be released from their positions soon.
