Exports of liquefied natural gas from the US to the EU have doubled

The export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the USA to Europe in 2022 increased 2.5 times to 117.4 million cubic meters. This is stated in the report of the Council of Economic Advisers of the White House, published on March 21.

By the end of 2022, the European Union has become the world's leading buyer of liquefied natural gas (LNG), ahead of China, Japan, and South Korea. Financial Times wrote in January. The International Energy Agency noted that in June last year, LNG supplies from the USA exceeded Gazprom's exports to Europe for the first time.
