Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan summarized the work carried out over the past year.
The capital's revenues have increased 4 times since 2018. If in 2018 they were 22 billion drams, in 2023 - 30 billion, then in 2025 they reached 92 billion drams. During Avinyan's tenure alone, the capital's revenues have increased 3 times.
Radar Armenia asked the mayor what factors led to the increase in its own revenues.
"The city's own revenues have increased 4 times since 2018. And 3 times in the last 3 years," the mayor said, adding that there are several main components. The mayor noted that the administration being carried out, the removal of many economic entities from the shadows, and the fees charged to the construction sector constitute a large volume.
"There is a new, substantial portion of fees charged from the construction sector. "Last year they were 24 billion drams, this year they are a little over 18 billion drams. In fact, the fact that before this there was an irregular construction process in Yerevan, the introduction of these fees by us has curbed the appetite of developers," he noted.
