"On behalf of all of you, I would like to thank our Mayor, Mr. Avinyan, for his direct, consistent, and very systematic work in the field of life support and infrastructure, with our partners: the government and supply companies," said Kamo Areyan, Advisor to the Mayor of Yerevan, presenting the programs implemented in the capital. According to him, these programs could have bypassed the municipality or remained on the shelves if it were not for the city authorities' consistency.
Responding, Mayor Tigran Avinyan also thanked his colleagues. "It is also very positive that the government has started to implement the modernization of the sewage system; that is, the municipality is now only dealing with serious emergency cases, and we have eased the burden on our budget with that part of it."
He noted that there are still problems to be solved, in particular regarding the hours of drinking water supply in Yerevan. "The issue of water supply from new sources is being discussed," he said, also emphasizing the importance of support in eliminating losses.
