We can officially announce that the implementation process of the Cascade project is starting. Mayor
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced on his social media page:
"Dear Yerevan residents,
About a year ago, we began reconstructing the unfinished section of the "Cascade" complex.
At that time, many sincerely doubted that the Cascade process would ever be completed.
Today, we are implementing a program that has been at a standstill for decades.
The launch of the Cascade process actually demonstrates that the state, community, and private sector can act as a single entity to achieve long-term results.
Almost a year later, we are, for the first time, at a point where we can officially announce that the implementation of the Cascade cultural hub project is beginning.
I want to thank our government partners, especially the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, GTB Holdings partners, and the architectural community for all the discussions and professional observations.
I want to express my special thanks to the families of Jim Torosyan and Sargis Gulzadyan for their support, and to Mr. Aslan Mkhitaryan for his participation, advice, and constructive engagement.

Mr. Wilmot is not only an architect of international standing but also a specialist who has great respect for Yerevan's history, the original idea of Jim Torosyan, and the city's unique image.

And it is essential to say what this project will give to the people of Yerevan: it will bring new content to urban life through cultural events and public open spaces, and an improved environment will be created with restored slopes and green areas. The Cascade will become a full-fledged cultural hub.
