Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan sent a congratulatory message on September 1.
“Dear teachers, dear parents, and our little Yerevan residents - first graders,
Today marks the beginning of a new school year. Thousands of children are gathering in schools again, and hundreds of little ones are taking their first steps on the great path we call education.
Dear first graders,
The school opens its doors to you today. Here you will find your first friends, learn to read and write, and overcome difficulties. I am sure that you will love your school and will make us happy with your successes every day.
The start of the new school year is not only a holiday for every family, but also a holiday for Yerevan. Our city lives and develops with the knowledge and dreams of our children. May this school year mark the beginning of new successes for our town and its children.
