Within the framework of the world's most prestigious GIS users' conference, held in San Diego, USA, from July 14-18, and attended by approximately 20,000 people, the unified GIS system launched and implemented in Yerevan Municipality about a year ago was also presented.
Out of about 100,000 projects submitted for the award ceremony, the Yerevan Municipality GIS project was selected among the 78 best international projects and received the prestigious SAG (Special Achievement in GIS) award from Jack Dangermond, founder of ESRI, a leading company in this field.
