Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan has been elected Chairman of the Board of the Union of Communities of Armenia.

It enables communities to independently determine the direction of their development, respond to the needs of their residents, and shape the future of the community with their resources. This model is not only a legal norm but also a practical necessity for modern and effective governance.
To achieve self-sufficient and developing communities, it is essential to establish partnership relations between the state and communities, founded on mutual trust and shared responsibility.
This is an important platform to strengthen the independence and financial stability of communities, to represent and protect the interests of communities, and to develop local self-government through cooperation.” Tigran Avinyan wrote on his page on the social network.
