The deepening of Armenian-French decentralized cooperation was emphasized

The 5th Armenian-French Decentralized Cooperation Forum was held this year in Goris. Yerevan Deputy Mayor Levon Hovhannisyan participated in the forum. In his speech, welcoming the attendees, the latter particularly emphasized the deepening of Armenian-French decentralized cooperation with partner cities and regions in various directions and areas. In particular, Yerevan cooperates with Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice (Nice), and the Ile-de-France regional council. Numerous programs are being implemented in cooperation with education, culture, tourism, economy, architecture, urban development, landscaping, and other areas.

“This cooperation has become possible within the framework of two- and three-year agreements, which not only ensure stable program cooperation but are also combined with the reforms implemented by the communities. I am convinced that today’s forum will open a new path for mutually beneficial partnership,” Levon Hovhannisyan noted.

During the conference, Levon Hovhannisyan met with Anne-Louise Mesadieu, Vice President of the Ile-de-France region, and Hélène Duvivier, Vice President of the Lyon Metropolis. The parties discussed current programs and possible directions for further cooperation.
