A completely new recreation zone was established in Yerevan in 2024. In response to Radar Armenia's inquiry, Yerevan Municipality informed.
Details from the municipality:
- 130 valuable and beautiful tree species and 2,150 herbs and shrubs were planted on 1.5 ha in the area adjacent to Yerevanyan Lake in the Shengavit administrative district.
- A garden with new landscape solutions was built on 0.11 ha at Nork Marash v/s. Ara Atsemnik, where 18 beautiful, valuable tree species and more than 100 species of shrubs were planted.
- Re-establishment works were done on 0.5 ha in Davit Anhaght Park of Kanaker-Zeytun village, where 20 valuable tree species were planted.
- A new garden with 100 beautiful and valuable trees was established on about 1 ha in the Nor Nork administrative district near Luxemburg Street.
- The park named after Mergelyan was re-established on an area of 0.24 ha in the Arabkir administrative district.
In Yerevan, tree planting was regularly carried out in several parks and green plantations based on different programs to complement or enhance the aesthetic appearance.
